church is ‘PEOPLE’

The other day, a friend o mine asked me what did i do on sunday. I said, “I went to Church”. I couldnt help but notice his stiff response, as if I did somethin that made me suspicious.

He replied “i guess u are religious…”

now even i was kinda confused….hey i am not religious.. nah! Jesus never talked in favour of religion, infact He never started a religion…

Jesus is all about the relationship between man and God. A bond that was severed by the sinful ways of man , and there is NOTHING that a man can do himself to reconcile his relationship with God. Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for Our sins, and made it possible, even for a sinful man like me to be able to come to His throne directly for grace… it doesnt matter who you are and what you have done.. just cry out to Jesus..

So whatever religion tells you to “DO” aint gonna get you to heaven… religion is a man made system to subdue people and stop them from getting closer to the truth…

and church is not a way to heaven or an organization run by “holy deeds“ people.. it is His ‘People’. Church is a gathering / fellowship of Believers in christ to praise and honor His name and to edify each other…

infact i pray that the world gets to know and see the truth and power of the real church .. the people redeemed by Christ..

Ask a Christian Band …

Ask the questions you always wanted to ask a christian band.. here is list of questions.. sure you would have your own to add….

1. Any particular sources of inspiration?

2. How is it different writing christian music as opposed to secular music, with respect to both lyrics and musical arrangements?
3. Opinions on particular christian bands: indian or international..
4. What is your definition of christian music?
5. What do you feel about sharing the stage (at shows, concerts etc) with other acts which aren’t secular?

6. The importance of music in a religious experience, such as worship, going to church, etc?
7. Extreme forms of music such as gangsta rap, metal etc, as a form of religious expression? does it really make sense? do the usual connotations associated with these types of music (violence, drugs, materialism) affect the message?
